Being tired of seeing thousands of articles with “Importance of Keyword/s” as title when talking about the role of keywords in SEO, I happened to have an idea of writing another article about the same topic but with different thoughts under different title. Though I agree with the relevance of the overused title, it often gives me impression of lazy writing.

Can other writers or bloggers think of another title tackling the same thing? Having a title like “Importance of Keywords” to discuss about the importance of keywords is so redundant. It doesn’t attract readers, unless the desperate ones who are really in need of researching. Thank God that I was able to make a title that is very simple yet enough representation of what my article is all about. Though there is really nothing special with my title by replacing just one word with synonym, at least it gives freshness to the overly used title. Besides, so far there are no articles or blog entries existing that use the exact title I use today.

I have the choice of using the title “Keyword Weight,” I still chose to use “The Weight of Keywords” because Keyword Weight talks about the percentage of concentration of keywords on the web page in relation to all other words on the page (Newpress). Though this write up also talks about this term, it would not gratify the whole point of this blog entry.

Let me present to you two important points about the importance of keywords. There are other points but I opted not to mention them anymore because I leave them to other thousands more articles that explain them. What I stated here are just the ones that are rarely thought about.

1. Keywords are like key to open hundreds chests of opportunities. They are the ones responsible in having your site generate voluminous traffic. Just make sure that through serious keyword research, you’ve arrive with the right keywords. Right keywords are words that are more likely to type in the search bar to get to your site.

2. Specific keywords, especially the long-tail keywords, are great when it comes to targeting relevant traffic or targeted audience. These keywords are the ones that really give conversions. I was once just an occasional internet user before becoming into an SEO expert. Based on my experience when researching, I tend to type three or more words to get web listings that are relevant to what I was searching for.

When putting keywords, either on your business website or blog site, you should not repeat the same keywords more than 5 times. Using the keyword for the fifth time is ideal–more than that is already spamming. No one likes to get banned in major search engines, right?
