Assessing the reliability and credibility of SEO companies is important. This is to ensure that you won’t be victimized by several fake and opportunists who have nothing in mind but to earn money at the expense of innocent customers. Let me share some ways of assessing SEO companies.

(a) Take a look at the site page rank if SEO companies’ site has or none. Websites with PR 3 and higher are the ones that are credible enough. Although, other sites with PR 2 and 1 can also be credible as long as they rank top in any of the keywords they optimize their site for. Of course, sites with PR zero and “Unranked” are not worth it to be hired for your SEO. Page rank is the indication on how well the SEO company when it comes to generating backlinks for their own site.

(b) Ask the companies of keywords they optimize their site. Google the keyword and see if the site ranks well or not. The honesty of the SEO companies is best tested through this.

(c) Inquire about the SEO strategies that they use for optimization process. If they use automated submission through a software application, keep away from them. This strategy would have the website get banned in the search engines. As a result, the site being optimized for automated submission is removed from the search engine indices.
